Bold attack to quell hostile Siberian omnics fails

Following activity by rogue Omnic artificial intelligent robots in Siberia, the United Nations International Omnic Peace Summit (IOPS) launched an attack. June 5th, 2074, The United-Nations-sanctioned Helix International Guard stormed the Siberian Omnium, a factory that develops rogue Omnics, with intent to discover a hostile God Artificial Intelligence (God AI) that manipulated these rogue Omnics.

A directive passed by the IOPS entitled Siberia and sponsored by China, Egypt and Russia and the United Kingdom brought this attack to fruition. The Omnium’s anti-aircraft artillery decimated the jetpack-flying forces of the Helix International Guard despite the leaders’ firm belief that an aerial attack would triumph against the Omnium defenses.

The summit against the rogue Omnics falsely assumed the existence of an Omnic-manipulating God AI. Guards discovered no such God AI in Siberia, creating confusion over the source of these rogue artificial intelligence robots. Moving forward, the summit will focus on replenishing the loss of human and material resources.

Part of the recovery process outlined in the Siberia directive involves the Helix International Guard bombing every Omnic robot across the globe to eliminate the threat of future rogue Omnics.

Two opposing views clearly divide the summit: those who believe all Omnics must be destroyed and those who hold out hope for the protection of the Omnics from hostile and controlling God AIs. Leaders in the IOPS contest the IOPS’s access to sovereign countries for the purpose of destroying private Omnics. For example, Greek President Katerina Nikos is not prepared to grant the summit access to Omnics in her country.

In a similar position to Nikos, Chinese leader Zhang Liling said “[China must] be the broker of peace between Omnics and humans."

According to Liling, he views Omnics as a benevolent tool currently corrupted by God AIs. Zhang advocates for researching how to render Omnics immune to the manipulation and viruses of the God AIs.

Japan Prime Minister Ito Michihiro, however, firmly believes the summit must destroy every Omnic. He blames the Omniums for the assassination of members of a Japanese political party that proposed the expansion of Japan’s military to include offensive and defensive branches.

If the IOPS’s heated debates are any indicator, moving forward, the issue of the preservation of the Omnics will segregate the summit of world leaders.
