The Organized Defense of Kiev

In the Verkhovna Rada, 2014 Crisis, Kiev was under torment by the Russians and was facing political turmoil. The one topic that was perpetuated in the Crisis was the organization for the defense of Kiev. It is important to the members present in the crisis to aid Kiev and furthermore bring Ukraine back to prominence as a nation.

In order to aid Kiev it is important that the members employ various military tactics. Gregori Kyzma said that a global superpower, that is not Russia, for example the United States, could be used as backup for military defense. Kyzma continued by saying that Russia is already mobilizing, suggesting that immediate military defense needs to take place by a global superpower.

It can be agreed by the majority of members present in the crisis that the defense of Kiev took too long to get underway.

Verkhovna Rada members discussing the War Efforts Directive

to defend Kiev.

Ony N., one of the members, said that it was the wrong decision to be diplomatic with Russia, which is why Kiev is at such a weak stance right now. Ony continued to say that Russia should’ve been attacked earlier which would’ve prevented much of the turmoil that Kiev is going through currently. Ony even said that an army had been established to defeat Russia but no notice of attack was ever sent to the troops.

Coinciding with what Gregori Kyzma mentioned earlier about partnering up with global superpowers to take down Russia, a group of members came together to conclude a directive in which foreign aiding would take place to defend Kiev.

This directive was called the War Efforts Directive in which France would provide nuclear assets and resources to Kiev which would help boost the economy and provide weapons to militarize against Russia.

To defend Kiev it was also suggested that the Ukrainian people arm themselves and battle Russian forces. Troops would be stationed in multiple urban locations around Kiev to ambush Russian attacks. Also it was stated that the defense of Kiev would be supported by NATO.

These advancements were able to briefly stop the Russians from destroying Kiev even more. While this was a brief victory for the Ukranians the members of Verkhovna Rada still have a long way to go to completely secure the safety of Kiev.
