Crisis Update: The Trojans Take the Lead in War

Troops of Ajax the Greater went to search for the tunnels leading into the city of Troy, but failed to find them seeing as there are no tunnels. While his troops are aimlessly wandering around the walls of Troy, a battle ensues between the Trojans and the Greeks.

A crisis staffer informed the representatives that the battle plan the greeks had recently passed into action was successful. They were able to defeat the Trojans with the use of multiple weapons and god bestowed gifts such as poisonous scorpions, dead cow and fire arrows. With the assistance of catapults from their ships, they were able to slaughter the Trojans and teach them that if the Trojan troops attempted to leave the walls of their protected city they would only face defeat and failure.

The Achaeans were able to push the Trojan forces so far back that they were able to reach the walls to the city of Troy. The Greek troops, however, without the assistance of their catapults were not able to keep their defensive line intact and eventually had to retreat. This led to the loss of forty percent of the Achaeans. This, however, was considered a victory for the Greeks. In regards to the loss of Achaean troops, the troops sent by Ajax the Greater, are fresh and ready for battle since they did not have to partake in the initial battle plan.

“[They are] now in control of the seas, farms and essentially everything except for the city of Troy itself,” a crisis staffer explained.

Now moving forward from their success of their battle plan, the representatives are planning on the next steps in winning the war. One representative, Diomedes, stated that they want to, “Bring glory to the greeks, to the gods, to the people and reestablish honor to the people of Greece.”

Discussions broke out about the building of a statue of Helen, daughter of Tyndareus the King of Sparta, as a plan of attack. The statue is thought of being hollow and then filled with a poison or malicious object.

A representative of the warrior Patroclus, of the Achaeans, stated that, “Pleasing the gods, such as Aries, is of utmost importance.” This is because the gods, especially Aries, need to forgive them if they want to have a chance at winning the war.

Overall the Achaeans have begun to take control of the war and depending on their next steps as a united front they may or may not end up defeating the Trojans.
