India vs. Pakistan: A Fight Between Borders

India dominated Azad Kashmir in Session I of the Emergency Pakistani Cabinet, which dives into their crisis on border struggles between Pakistan and Kashmir.

The move resulted in a cabinet meeting where there have been a variety of opinions from the chiefs, representatives, and ministers of Pakistan.

A portion of the cabinet immediately advocated for forceful retaliation against India.

“India has done something unspeakable,” Minister of Interior and Narcotics Control, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Kha said. “They’ve crossed the line.”

.

Similar opinions mentioned involving taking quick action against India and authorizing for as many troops as possible to aid retribution. Those who agree believe India has unjustifiably taken Pakistan’s land.

A cabinet member went so far as to say they should humiliate the Indians.

“This will not be forgiven nor forgotten,” said Asadullah Khan Mandokel, Representative of the Sindh. Members with an opposing viewpoint promote a less aggressive approach to the situation.

Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, suggested Pakistan focus on a peaceful resolution before a physical one. Peace and diplomacy were of the utmost importance to a handful of members who believe violent force will only result in a multitude of new problems.

After some debate, a crisis update said that India voids the treaty concerning the borders of shared waters between the two countries. Mr. Modi, the guest speaker who informed the cabinet members, stated the treaty was officially over.”

The discontinuation of the treaty allows for the people of India to freely use the waters however they please; whereas before, it was restricted to use solely for fishing and energy production. When members discussed this new information, there was once again strong opposition to peace.

Representative of the Pashtun, Riaz Hussain Pirzada, said Pakistan should use guerrilla warfare.

Bold statements on both sides of the debate indicate this matter won’t be settled quietly or without quality arguments. Although the emergency will be eagerly discussed, Pakistan citizens should trust that their government will make the best decision they can at a time like this.
